Pobres y del Grito de las Nuevas Generaciones
“La salud del Cuerpo Místico, de la humanidad, es la paz. Y la salud del cosmos es la
ecología. Tengo la impresión de que en el futuro habrá un gran desarrollo ecológico
en nuestro Movimiento porque tenemos que salvar el entorno natural. De la misma
manera que uno tiene que estar vivo y no muerto para trabajar para ser santo, así
también el planeta debe estar vivo para proporcionar un hogar a la humanidad. (…)
Nuestro planeta es esencial para que exista la vida. Por lo tanto, una ecología
saludable es la base de la paz. Solo podemos construir la paz y la fraternidad en un
planeta que existe”.

“Hagamos lo que hacen las plantas. Absorben de la tierra solo el agua, los
nutrientes y otras cosas que necesitan, y nada más. Así que cada uno de
nosotros debe tener lo que necesita y todo lo demás debe ser regalado y
compartido con los demás”.

« La santé du Corps mystique, de l’humanité est la paix. Et la santé du
cosmos est l’écologie. J’ai l’impression qu’à l’avenir, il y aura un important
développement écologique dans notre Mouvement, car nous devons
protéger l’environnement naturel. De la même manière qu’il faut être vivant
et non pas mort pour œuvrer à notre sainteté, de même la planète doit aussi
être vivante pour pouvoir offrir une maison à l’humanité. (…) Notre planète
est essentielle à l’existence de la vie. Voilà pourquoi une écologie saine est le
fondement de la paix. Nous ne pouvons construire la paix et la fraternité que
sur une planète qui existe. »

« Faisons comme les plantes. Elles n’absorbent de la terre que l’eau, les
nutriments et ce dont elles ont besoin, et rien de plus. Ainsi chacun de nous
ne doit avoir que ce dont il a besoin, et donner et partager tout le reste avec

Listening to the Cry of the Earth, the Cry of the
Poor, and the Cry of the New Generations
“The health of the Mystical Body, of humanity, is peace. And the health of
the cosmos is ecology. I have the impression that in the future there will be a
great ecological development in our Movement because we have to save the
natural environment. In the same way that one has to be alive and not dead
in order to work at becoming a saint, so too must the planet be alive in
order to provide a home for humanity. (…) Our planet is essential for life to
exist. Therefore, a healthy ecology is the foundation of peace. We can only
build peace and brotherhood on a planet that exists.”

e il grido delle nuove generazioni
“La salute del Corpo Mistico, dell'umanità, è la pace. E la salute del cosmo
è l'ecologia. Ho la sensazione che in futuro ci sarà un grande sviluppo
ecologico nel nostro Movimento, perché dobbiamo salvare l’ambiente
naturale. Così come bisogna essere vivi e non morti per lavorare al fine di
diventare santi, anche il pianeta deve essere vivo per dare una casa
all'umanità. (...) Il nostro pianeta è essenziale per l'esistenza della vita.
Pertanto, un'ecologia sana è il fondamento della pace. Possiamo costruire la
pace e la fratellanza solo su un pianeta che esiste".

"Prendiamo esempio dalle piante. Dalla terra, assorbono solo acqua, sostanze
nutritive e altro di cui hanno bisogno, nulla di più. Quindi ognuno di noi deve
avere ciò di cui ha bisogno e tutto il resto va dato e condiviso con gli altri".

“We are commited to verifying the ecological sustainability of our structures and activities … We are dedicated to the creation of greater environmental awareness that will lead to more sustainable lifestyles.”
Ecological conversion was one of the goals set by the Focolare Movement in the 2021 General Assembly. In response to this urgent need, the Focolare EcoPlan was initiated.

An open invitation to the Global Festival of “Living well” for the people and the planet which will take place on Saturday, 14th and Sunday, 15th of May at the Mariapoli Center of Castelgandolfo (Italy). Through an experiential and dialogic approach, the event offers outdoor activities, workshops and exchange of viewpoints with experts. There will also be moment of sharing for those who wish to participate in the event remotely, through a live streaming from 14:30 to 16:00 (Central European Time).
